Banking
Opening an account with a bank may be easy
for an individual savings bank; for a business, it doesn’t
come that easy. A business usually looks for a financial
service that offers not only immediate access to its cash
balances but also faster transactions and overall support
for monetary issues relevant to the business’s activity.
Banks normally require companies to show
their incorporation and licensing documents. These include
-
The certificate of incorporation;
-
The Memorandum of Association; and
-
The Articles of Association.
In some cases, banks require companies to
produce documents relevant to the directors and a few
shareholders. This is often required where a new company is
initiating a new project where the risk may be high, or
where the company itself cannot represent its own
credibility and is solely dependent on the value and
goodwill of its founders.
